Take a break from yourself. Literally. When was the last time you just took a moment to stop thinking about the 30 billion things that you are suppose to be doing and just thought about how great it is to be able to do anything you are doing. Take a breather, a vacation, anything from your life. Take some time to yourself is a rejuvenating experience because it breaks you out of the routine that you have been so accustom too. your mind starts to compound thoughts until you get lost in it all. Snow sculpting in chicago entry day 1

Today Ive landed in Chicago for what is called snow days! This most amazing event is apart of Chicago's celebration for Winter Time. I have been invited to be apart of a team of sculptures for this most incredible occasion! check it out Snow Days! I have put together my entire snow sculpting gear from the land of the north and will get to meet my team of sculptures from around the U.S. I am extremely excited! If you know anyone in the area have them come down to the navy pier as our team will be having at this monstrous block of snow to make magic happen till saturday.

Once in a while we are given a unique opportunity to pursue what we love the most. we ask for it, we want it, and we have the chance to do it. so rare is the time that we are given the opportunity to that we actually believe we can or can t do it. Yes there are two sides to this situation and both are correct. The true nature of what it is we want to do comes down to what is going to allow us to live the most. Literally live and when i mean live its the kind of living that sheer excitement and joy pours out from who we are. when this happens we are waking to living. From here on out its a continually trial and error process that only makes who we are and what we are living for stronger.

Today your purpose is greater than any other time and this is your time to wake up and start living.

How often do you find happiness in what you do, where you live, or what you are doing.

When you are around people, new friends, and exciting things do you not glow with excitement. When you eat food that you enjoy so much is because of the taste and sensation.

When you are being active with what you love doing it is effortless.

When you do anything that you enjoy you are enjoying yourself

In order to be a reflection of anything we are doing in our lives we must first being doing what you want to reflect. Meaning if your happy, than do things that make you happy. Even if that is as crazy as streaking a baseball field in the 7th inning stretch. hahahaa I promise i wouldnt stop you if that was going to make you happy. mind you, actions you take are your own and so will the outcome of them. or if you just enjoy making cake but have not one to give it too ill take one please and i am sure so will all your friends, the funny part is with one comes many, and as a result you may start your own business just from sharing what you love.

just remember no matter what you are doing, you will be a reflection of the kind of life you are living. So make sure its the kind of life you want to enjoy.

9 negative things happening and only 1 positive. what do I do?

You focus on what is positive.

I learned this one year from a dear friend of mine who had an autoimmune disease that was taking her apart day by day. Ill do my best to capture the story:

" She shared that she tried everything, every kind of doctor, diet, grew organic foods, made all her own foods, controlled as much as she could but still couldnt see anything. So many times she was confronted with giving up that all of the negative things were getting her down that nothing was working or what was working was failing. Soon the avalanche came and she was given the prognosis of there isnt any hope, your going to have to deal with this for the rest of your life. Well my friends if she was focusing on the negative she would have believed that. however she new where she was going and what she wanted. She continued searching till one day her sister came across hope. butterknife in the electric socket

hahahaa, I would have to say some of the biggest surprises are the ones we never know about until it happens. Im not sure how many of you as kids put a butterknife in an electric socket but I am sure it was "shocking" literally. In that young frame of mind I believe that is the time when we are making the connection in how things fit together. rationally speaking butterknife fits in electric socket that works, however butterknife is not suppose to go into a live electric socket unless the interest is the be electrified. A plug fits much better and can power so many different devices.

As a result most of us dont normally seek to continue to do an action that gives us such electrifying harmful results. You might be thinking marco this is all true what does that have to do with anything?

This little example has a lot do with everything in your normal life, from as simple as waking up in the morning to how you live your life. Every part of your life that is amazing is amazing for a reason, you have made it that way. Every part of your life that isnt, is a learning experience to move you closer to what is amazing. When you plug yourself into what what makes you enjoy life the most, what was electrifying because empowering. By being empowered you can do so much more. With that being said you are the one who can make every experience brighter and even in the most shocking experiences we can become even more amazing.

Reconnecting with friends and family! LOL! life takes us on so many amazing adventures. Good friends the ones that last for a life time are always in our heart, always in your prayers, and always in your mind somewhere. I feel that when we take on our adventures to the world and reconnect its as though time has been lost. As though it was yesterday, the only difference is there are more stories and funny moments to share. Take this time today to just reconnect or to remember those you love and enjoy. Because no matter where you are or what you are doing, the relationships worth anything are the ones that will last a life time, no matter how much time has passed you can keep on laughing.

Learning to sing in front of an audience

This morning while talking with a friend about her recent direction to instructing a yoga class. She shared that "I am super scared, but I know I can do it and with my fellow yogi's encouragement it keeps getting better." I remembered a many moments where I was in her same spot with other ventures in my life remember to laugh and smile. The moment in recent day for me is trying to learn to sing in front of my church on saturdays. I have sang forever by myself, in the shower, in the car, in the streets, and where ever. but in front of people is a whole new building block. Because it requires so much more, synchronizing with the piano player, the room, the notes, i feel like i am going to be over powering the room, and so much. However I am learning that all though powerful I am not over powering but setting the tone by leading. I also know that with anything takes practice and proper instruction, my friends from the civic theater introduced me to a vocal instructor that I begin with in march. Till than I continue to share what I have a with a smile and with as much that I can give as possible.

Remember no matter if you are learning to sing, teaching yoga, or sky diving, its you want to get out of it in the end. So be powerful, have fun, and enjoy yourself

my monday on MLK day. Nothing short of an adventure

Today I wake up to the tune of 6 am with phone calls, business calls, events, and consulting, you name it i got called. I was headed to meet a friend at noon and i get out to my car and the dome light from the night before was left on. Battery dead! Oh sheeeesh! well the show must go on! So i got my boots on and started walking downtown. I thought to myself ill pick up a sandwich along the way at my little deli and i come to realize that its already monday and its Martin Luther King day. Nevertheless I still head into the city, as i am walking my sister has the day off and shares she made soup for lunch. Anyway Im still walking as soon as i crest the street to go into the city. There are flashers and cop cars blocking the streets, in my mind im going oh man what happened. As I get closer, floods of kids go walking into the street for the MLK silent march. the sunshine was out and was absolutely beautiful the air was warm amidst the winter season and i walked with an ocean of students that stretched for a mile down the road. absolutely incredible! My friends Better now than later. A many opportunities are lost because of a simple instance to just accomplish what it is you want to do. It is incredible how much time is wasted on the simple phrases: I'll do it later or maybe next time. If you get it done now you will have more time to do more of the fun you enjoy doing later.

A project may be to big or overwhelming. Fear not! ever task has little pieces that make up the complete project. A suggestion is to break down the project into little pieces so that you can have more accomplishments with in a big accomplishment. This is creates a successful attitude, a can do mentality, and allows you to move forward with any given prject.

Dont put off what you want to do, Enjoy doing what you love, and free your mind for more fun! Better now than later!

So often we are so very interested in changing the world, changing others, helping those around us, and so on. Yet how often are we actually improving who we are and being the example that we want to see in others?

In order to have a changing world, helping others, or improving the quality of the situations around us we must be the example.

• anyone can tell people to be happy but how many of you are nurturing happiness in your environments.
• anyone can tell you what is wrong with what you are doing but how many of you actual help find the solutions.
• anyone can talk about environmental degradation but how many of you take the steps to make our earth a better place
• anyone can say that where you live isnt a good place but how many of you are making it a better place
• anyone can say anything but how many of you are doing something

This list is endless. What is being conveyed is what are you doing to make a difference?

Be the example thaty ou want to see in others. You can only begin changing the world, changing others, helping those around you when you have done this for yourself. It is your turn to start improving who you are and be the example of what we want to see in the world.

Your example will make a difference and right now is a better time than later to begin.

At the end of the day, end of the week, end of the month, and so on. If you are not having fun in some way. You need to look at your life and see what it is you are actually doing. There are times that we are so focused on accomplishing one of our to do we forget to see that we have accomplished hundreds of others that will in the end make up our big vision. Look at everything you are doing, brighten your day up with your accomplishment, address how you can move forward, and than do it. Make it happen so that your outlook is fun or at least positive. We are 6 days into 2012 this will be the best year of your life. We are here to conquer and have fun doing it!

So often the solutions we are looking for we already have. The encouragement we need is just the confidence to know that we are on the right path. The ability we seek has been a continual practice or within us our whole lives. The only thing that is needed is the journey to get where ever it is we are going. The journey beings with you. Choosing a direction and going with it. Any choice made is a choice that steers the coarse to where you are going. So long as your happy than the rest of us can be happy and if you are not happy than the world around you most certainly wont be either.

No matter where you are in your life, its never to late to begin a journey! Your journey begins with you.

To be or not to be, to do or not to do, conquering is what we choose. The split second you have an idea is a split second you can either make something happen or make something not happen. Obvious enough. However the challenge is not being afraid to do what you want to. Realize that some ideas take some time and planning other ideas can be accomplished right away.

Some examples:

1. You may want to start your own business. Fair enough, you have to identify your intentions, how it will represent you, are you going to be passionate about it, and from there the physical nature begins to take shape, investment, product, marketing, etc.... this all takes time. That is just the tip of the iceberg (if you want to help with this send me a message its easy)
2. You may want to just want to start writing or doing art more. Great! paper and pencil! begin!
3. You may want to be nicer to the world around you. Wonderful! try smiling and saying hello more.

these ideas are endless, but what they all have in common is you. You are the one that is having the idea and you are the one that is going to go forth and start to make it happen. The split second you have an idea is a split second you can either make something happen or make something not happen. Obvious enough. Dont be afraid to do what you want to. Realize that your ideas all have a way of happening. You have to be willing to do it. Therefor conquering is what we do!

The simple fact that we are waking up and moving around is amazing. Working through your abilities and gifts is not something you do over night. Each day is a continual practice and ability to do. WAIT A MINUTE!! most people!? who are these most people... are they supporting you, are they encouraging you, are they letting you know that if you just keep moving forward you are not going to fizzle but rise above all others. YOUR RESOLUTION REQUIRES AN ENVIRONMENT TO ENCOURAGE YOU.

Here is your environment for conquering. If all you are doing is talking about it and not doing anything about it. than all your doing is talking. Tell me what you are doing get away from the people that are bringing you down. It is time for your to be held accountable and this is where you will find it! You better believe that you are going to keep that resolutions and you will conquer!
